I grew up on a farm 145km north of Upington in the Northern Cape. I grew up in an artistic household which ranged from creative arts to music to capturing memories in the form of photos – all traits I inherited from my mother.
As a Kalahari farm girl, I travelled to Stellenbosch where I studied hospitality and cheffing… my dream of photography not forgotten, just simply postponed.
Soon after, I met the love of my life and moved to the coastal town of East London, Eastern Cape, where we are currently living. I quickly realized that my passion and heart still lies in the art of photography and therefore decided to make it my reality. I enrolled in Shaw Academy and have since finished my photography diploma and numerous other photography related courses.
I am at last a full-time lifestyle photographer and I LOVE what I do!
I like to think that I have a natural talent that I build on and improve daily. I love a new challenge and love to do all kinds of photography, however, my absolute favourite would definitely be styled shoots! The possibilities are endless and the creativity can flow freely without limits.
When I am not busy with anything photography related, you can find me curled up with a good book, cuppachino and in the company of my two ginger tabbies. Family and my Heavenly Father come first…and the rest will follow.
I would never have been able to do it without the unconditional support of my loving family, my husband and my Father above. They believed in me when I did not believe in myself and gave me the courage to stand up and face the music.
It is never too late to live your dreams as I am now living in mine.
In April 2017 we relocated to Cape Town, Western Cape, to fulfill the next chapter of our ‘happily ever after’.
